LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF TRACT:

GPS coordinates: N 37.46494 W 98.0334 (Lee Ranch Headquarters)

N/2 Section 2 and Section 3 in Turkey Creek Township, Township 30 South, Range 15 West, all in Barber County, Kansas. Approximately 4 miles northwest of Sun City, KS or 7 miles southwest of Coats, KS.

Projected Time Frame: After April 1, 2011. Propose to start on first date, weather conditions permitting.

Date of Previous Burn: 2005

Objectives to be accomplished through prescribed burn: control of Eastern Red Cedar and sand hill plum brush, improved grazing distribution of pasture, removal of accumulated dead mulch for grass management

Preparations completed: mowing and grazing adjoining heavy grass, tree removal, dirt work and crossings built, plan to burn into wheat fields and short pastures with south breeze

Sheriff/Fire Contact: Medicine Lodge, KS, 620.886.5678, calling immediately prior to burn. Fire Chief and Sheriff of Barber County notified by postal mail.

Fire Department Special Instructions: Access from the east is at Bill Lee residence about 6 miles north of Sun City. Access from west is 6 miles northwest of Sun City (River Road) to Croft Road, then 2.5 miles north to Lee ranch road, then 2 miles east. Access from north (Pratt County vehicles) is 3 miles south of Croft, KS to west Lee Ranch entrance, then 2 miles east.
